Before starting this blog I must make the statement: I am no Beer expert. I know what I like and dislike but I don't pretend to know much more than that about beer. But what compelled me to write this blog is the ads I've been seeing recently for Michelob Ultra. I believe they claim to be the lowest carb beer in the world, but their marketing strategy has me extremely confused. I'm sure you've seen the ads, crossing the overpass on Dogwood there is two attractive people (male and female) jogging. I saw yesterday at a convenience store a small ad of a lady doing situps and the Michelob Ultra sign behind her.
So what message are they trying to convey? Can you drink this beer instead of water during or after a workout? Should you workout harder if this is your beer of choice? Should I even think about excersing while I'm drinking a cold one?
I have tasted this beer and surprisingly is quite tasty. That says a lot because I am no fan of light beers,in fact I don't really like pale ales in general. I'm more of a dark beer guy, love the richness, love the bitterness.
I have much more to say about beer but that is for another blog.
