CALEXICO — The latter part of the week here were busy times for U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers as they broke up two cocaine smuggling attempts on consecutive days.
Over 71 pounds worth more than $700,000 hidden inside two cars being driven by U.S. citizens were seized at Calexico’s Ports of Entry during the two-day span.
