Two same-sex couples obtained marriage licenses today, County Clerk/Recorder Dolores Provencio said.

The office’s policy has always been to give a license one day, and schedule a civil ceremony for another day, Provencio said.

One of the couples will have a ceremony today, but not through the County Clerk’s Office. The second couple will have a ceremony this weekend at their home, Provencio said.
