A motorist who reportedly struck a pedestrian this afternoon at the intersection of El Centro Avenue and Sixth Street left the scene but drove over to the El Centro Police Department, authorities said.
The motorist was being interviewed about his role in the incident but it is uncertain whether charges will be filed against the person, said Officer Guillermo Molina. Paramedics and several El Centro police officers rushed to the scene after receiving a 4:22 p.m. call of the incident.
